Sunday Fun Day...most of it

Today was a nice day, a Sunday Fun Day!

I got up watered the lawn in in my pajamas ( I feel sorry for my neighbors) and got ready to go weigh in. I hate to say this but my weigh ins sometimes determine how the rest of my day is gonna go (this is something I'm not proud of but I human, a disappointment is a disappointment right!). A Sunday with a gain is spent at home on the couch grubbing and sulking and a Sunday with a loss is a Sunday spent shopping, hanging out with family, and just an all around a great day. Today, Sunday May 22nd was just that kind of a day, it was a Sunday Fun Day.

After my fabulous weigh in (another 2.4 pounds have left my body, saying it this way reminds me of those commercials where the kids are on the beach and they see this random body part and it's someones double chin...lol) we went to lunch at Kelly's pub (love their food) where I grubbed, throwing caution to the wind. Usually after a weigh in I forget about dieting and I just have a day, a day where I don't count points and day where I don't think twice about ordering what I want, a day when I just don't care. Then we went to a consignment shop around the corner and low and behold it is no longer a consignment shop, it is now the cutest little flower shop and there Riley bought me the most beautiful rose...so sweet of him!

Then we went to Walmart to do a little shopping and that's where "the incident" happened. Maria was tired of riding in the basket and she kept saying "will you hold me mama, will you hold me?" So I took her out of the basket, held her for a while and then told her she could walk beside me, if she stayed close, so she did as she was told, for like 5 minutes! So then she ran, she ran fast, just blindly running just to be free, to stretch her legs and as I was just about to grab her she felt right into the magazine racks, head first. OMG it was so awful, she screamed like I had never heard her scream and she cried, that terrible open mouthed cry but no sound. Thank God it wasn't as bad as it looked (people actually gasped when they saw her fall). I had a talk with her about running away and how it could be a lot worse for her, say if she runs into traffic, I fear I'm gonna have to be a leash mama, I never wanted to be but if it keeps her safe... ugh I don't know. So she's fin but has a nasty bump and a bruise, my poor little one. I felt so awful (this by no was a "fun: thing, this was the absolute downer for the day)! She's okay.

So then we stopped at my folks house and that's when I had a moment to check what the Amazon App store was offering for free today and to my great surprise it was the Retro Camera+. It is awesome and here are some of the pictures I took with it, enjoy the show!

Real Momma, Real Style - The Plus Size Way

So I'm trying something new today, something out of my safe little box, I'm doing Real Momma, Real Style thanks to Nina from Momma Go Round! I've been following Nina's Monday styles for a while now and I love everything she wears but there was one shirt/cardi combo I just had to have!

Cardigan Old Navy, Flowery Shirt Old Navy, Dark Wash, Bootcut Jeans JMS from Wal-Mart, Sandals Wal-Mart

Cardigan Old Navy, Shirt Old Navy (I am not pregnant!)
I love this Cardigan mostly because of the color and the Flowery Shirt is just so comfy, loose and springy! I am so happy Old Navy carries Plus size clothing!

Here is another Cardigan/Shirt Combo I purchased from Old Navy:

This is a "boyfriend" style Cardigan from Old Navy, White ruffle sleeve shirt is from Old Navy
So There is my Real Momma, Real Style Numero Uno (#1). I hope you enjoy, let me know what you think, I'll take all the feedback I can get!

Improvements

Before: Standard Smart Ones Chicken Fettuccini
After: Spicy wonderfulness with a little sweetness
How: I added a few cherry tomatoes and the nectar of the Asian food Gods, Chili Garlic Sauce. Mixed it all up and had a surprisingly satisfying lunch!
Before: Wearing the same old things over and over again, boring, colorless, and bland.
After: Wearing bright, happy, springy colors. Feeling pretty in my new dubs and just the slightest bit lighter on my feet!
How: Bought 2 sweaters and 2 shirts from Old Navy along with a shirt from Wal-Mart and a pair of ultra figure flattering jeans, love them! I also purchased a cute pair of 10 dollar sandals and finished everything off with new bras, it’s amazing what a new bra, fitted correctly, will do to ones figure, mine specifically!! Maria Tortilla calls my boobs apples, I have no idea why, but it’s funny! (Why am I talking about boobs again?)
Before: Same old green and red pillows I’ve had on the couch for years
After: Bohemian style, burnt orange, with white stitching in the form of a giant paisley pillows joyfully gracing the corners of my couch!
How: Fallas Peredes. If you live in Albuquerque there is one located at 4th and Montano and another near Coors and Central. It’s like a factory 2 U, remember those? Google translated Fallas to failure, so I think it’s because these items have minor flaws, but I didn’t see any on my pillows. TOTAL SCORE!!
